i loved phil. he is a great teacher. he definitely has a passion for teaching in this area. he posts all notes needed for lecture, and he does give random pop quizes, but they're very easy if you paid attention to lecture. geniunely very nice guy and does not make you feel stupid when you ask questions--like a lot of profs do.

Pretty cool class to take. Overall hes a nice guy. He makes corny jokes at the begining of class to wake everybody up, which itself is pretty amusing. The class overall was fairly interesting. Lecture notes are provided online so if you know these along with the review questions he gives, then the tests should be no problem. What sucked about the class is that he gave random pop quizes in class to check for attendence. If you dont pay attention these can be pretty tough, but if you know the chapter, then its very straightforward. Overall Id recomend this class. Just read the notes and know the review questions and you will be fine.
