Sibley sucks soooo bad. I don't know about all the other ECO teachers, but I can promise to you that this guy is real real real boring. I would suggest taking Norman because of all the supposed easy ways to get an A.

The first few classes went well and I was able to understand the concepts he was lecturing about but it seems as the days went on his handwriting got messier, his voice quieter and his notes were more and more zoomed out on the over-head. He used a lot of symbols without explaining what they meant and for someone who hasn't taken calculus yet, it was very confusing. Another thing is I understand the things from the textbook but once I went to lecture, I got confused. By the end of the semester, I gathered that Prof. Sibley is a humble man who has been teaching Eco for several years and just likes to get through the curriculum he's always taught and then go home and eat pizza.

Sibley has an unparalleled understanding of the material because he worked on many of the cases that he lectures about. The class material is very easy, there is practically no reading, and the homework takes only a few minutes.
