Review from a student who took E 318L
E 318L is a poetry class. I wanted to become a better poet. I think the class was more of a waste of time. The course was completely disorganized. The majority of what I learned in the class was from the one book we were supposed to read (didn't have to). If you want an audience for your work this class is for you. The TA sessions consist of sharing work with pears. If you want a blow off class take this one. If you want to learn go somewhere else.

Review from a student who took CHE 333T
The good news in this class is that there is no math, no exams, and no complex problems to solve in terms of engineering. The other great thing about this class is that you get a first hand experience in ethics and understanding how to evaluate the actions of industrial companies. This is an absolute essential class that allows engineers to understand the inner workings of the engineering industry and to see the consequences of some companies actions. She is a great professor that has a lot of knowledge to share. This class basically boils down to one major paper that is due at the end of the semester. You do awesome on that paper and you do awesome in the class. No final. The TAs are the ones that grade most of your drafts for your paper and it is just by luck how the TAs are that semester. This is a good class that teaches you about technical writing and prepares you for fundamentals lab if you are a chemical engineer. Most students get As and some get Bs and it is highly dependent on the amount of work you put into it. Go visit your TAs, go visit Randall, and above all show effort. You can work in a team of two to write your paper or a you can work individually. There are some strings attached to working in groups, but overall most people find it just fine.
