Review from a student who took PSY 309
Stay away from this course. I thought it would be fun, but I ended up hating the material, the professor, and the exams. Many of the students I talked to agreed with me. Only one test, and the final. The one test came after the drop date though. You're entire grade is based on these extremely hard tests. There is no way to see how you're doing, and little room to improve.

The worst professor that I've ever had. Extremely hard test based on the professors opinions rather than the material. Ask a question and he will laugh, say that he doesn't understand, then answer something else. When several students ask the same question, he basically calls the class stupid and blows them off. Grade based on 1 exam and the final covering a huge number of abstract theories, many that closely resemble one another, some that the professor made up. Avoid this class at all costs, if you already registered for it...DROP IT. It will turn the most dedicated psychology student into someone who absolutely hates the subject.
