Student reviews of Bruce Naylor
Review from a student who took CS 324E
Naylor knows exactly what he's talking about, and he's a nice guy--but sadly, his lectures are rather boring. Labs are in Java and he writes most of the code for you already (you just have to figure out how it works and tweek it with your own graphics). Tests (1 midterm, 1 final) are ALL CONCEPT and have absolutely no code involved. This might surprise a lot of students at first (a lot of low B's and C's on the first midterm), so don't be caught off guard. He posts his Powerpoint notes online so be sure to read them. Very easy if you just take the time to memorize the notes. Overall, this class was easy and fun (at times), but I recommend taking a different "Elements" course like CS329E (Web Design).
