Dr. Mueller is a decent lecturer, he conveys the information well. the material itself however is unforgivable boring. I found myself falling asleep almost every lecture period, save for the last few. He seems very interested in the progress of his students and in answering all of your questions. His exams(a combination of MC and S.A.) were challenging, especially the S.A. portion of it. Most of the questions were like "(some evolution term) - define the term and give its evolutionary significance." The second part of these questions was the challenging part and unfortunatley these types of questions accounted for nearly half of every exam. He only lectured for half the course, after which Dr. Linder took over. This guy was also very nice, but even more boring than Mueller. I stopped going to class in second half. luckily he put PPTs of his lectures up and I studied from these. There was a curve in the end that brought me to a B, other wise I would've made a 78, so it had to be at least a couple of points. All in all I would recommend to anyone not to take BIO 370, but if you have to Mueller/Linder were decent lecturers with somewhat challenging exams.

Dr. Mueller is somewhat foreboding as a professor; he comes off as fairly strict and a tough cookie in general. However, I happen to love his teaching style...he explains concepts very effectively and is willing to discuss any questions you may have. He will take time after lectures and entertains questions during non-office hour times as well. Most importantly, to me, he seems to care about his teaching and about his subject, and certainly about students' learning.
