Review from a student who took J 360
I happen to disagree with the other person who has reviewed Osler. He is one of my favorite j profs and I highly recommend taking his media law class if you want to learn something. I did very well in the class with little work. I've heard Jensen is the same way, but people have told me that they didn't learn anything about media law when he taught it. Osler is also more detached from his political ideology than Jensen.

the absolute worst class i have ever taken. this guy rambles on and on about "media law" and then when someone asks him about the NY times vs. sullivan case, he responds with (and about other stuff) "i dont remember but i'll send out an email explaining this later." then, when you go home, you have 6 emails explaining the same stuff he was supposed to have taught in class. AND it takes up your whole inbox (yes, even webmail). just the worst teacher. he doesnt know how to teach and he makes you sit in a seating assignment by alphabetical order. no doubt he has young children. the class is awful. im sure his other classes are just as big of a time waste.
