Dr. Green was an awesome professor. She really cared about students and encouraged them to interact in class. While she seems to be very feminist, there are many subjects in sociology which can not be discussed while avoiding the gender factor. I learned a lot of valuable information from this class, and only read the chapters and went to class and got an A. If you keep up througout the semester, you should study for each test three hours, max.

Boooring lectures and inconsistent grading. It doesn't matter how well you know the concepts, it's all about robotically memorizing your notes verbatim. No need to read because she lectures almost word for word out of the book. She's not vebry bipartisan at all and puts a feminist spin on EVERYTHING. I'm not doing poorly in her class either, I have a very solid B. I've heard there are way better SOC 302 profs, and I suggest you find them.

Her note come verbatum out of the book, which you better have memorized because she expects the answers on the test to be word for word out of the notes. She doesn't grade the tests very fairly. She can be interesting at times. She points out things that you wouldn't normally think about. I would recommend a different professor for anyone taking SOC 302.

This professor is truly a GREAT lecturer! Be prepared for all lectures, but they are very interactive I guess. Every class she wants a discusion between students, and it's a great way to learn. Her tests weren't the easiest in the world, but everything came straight from the notes and lecture, so if you studied life wasn't too bad. I would take her for any class you get the chance too!
