Great professor, no questions asked. Most interesting class I have taken. He is very knowledgeable not old, pretty lively and sense of humor as well. 6 homework assignments which were difficult--work/check with others and it's easier. Two midterms and a final, none of which I found easy, so you must study to earn your grade. Lectures are based on online handouts, there were like 15 of them. You should attend them though because they are interesting and you will fare a lot better. First half of the class deals with a lot of calculations and formulas. Second part concerns molecular biotechnology and is very cool. He is a big researcher and only had one weekly office hours and I found that he was often not there, but he's just a busy guy I guess. TA makes a big difference I think--mine was really lenient. I highly recommend this class+professor.

One of the most famous scientist in the field of biotechnology was also a great lecturer in the classroom. Good sense of humor and also very competent on the subject he teach. Overall I learnt a lot in his class. If you're an engineering major, the calculation part of the course is pretty straight forward while the other part was mostly memorizing some stuff.
