I loved going to this class. Dr. Fox always tried to make the material more interesting and I had so many laughs from the stuff she would say. The tests are pretty tricky- they seemed to get better as the semester went on because even though she says the material isn't cumulative, it does build with several major themes that can help you make a better, informed decision. Just remember to go for the most broad answer. There are 3 tests, each is 30% of your grade. The group project is 10%, and I think everybody gets 100 on that if you just try.

true, professor fox is an extremely nice lady. however, the class is just so pointless. i thought it was quite ridiculous to make pre-nursing majors take this course. her test are tricky even though the material seems to be common sense. as you can tell, more people make B's in her class and that is very frustrating considering the fact that it is "common sense." you definitely need to know all the detail. the project was pretty fun, but a little elementary. i took N 310 in fall 02 and ended up changing my major. not necessarily because of this class, but some say that this gauges how much you will like nursing. i believe there were 3 exams and the group project and no final.

Ms. Fox is a really nice lady. She has a great personality and tries to keep everyone awake. The communications class is very common sense, dry material that can be boring. You do need to go to class, however, as your participation and attendance is noted on these little notecards she has you bring at the beginning of the semester. You'll do these little group projects on different communication topics which are a lot of fun. It's not too bad of a class, and she's a pretty good professor overall.

I really liked Mrs. Fox. She's not into the whole technology thing, so lectures are her talking and popping transparencies up on the overhead. The information doesn't always make sense, but it's fun to hear her applying the material to clinical settings or hearing about her past experiences as a nurse and seeing how stuff applies. She's a nice lady who wil give you personal attention if your grades aren't quite where they should be. Take good notes in lecture; the book is not too helpful. 3 MC tests, and one group project w/ assigned partners. I actually had fun on the project, because I liked my group. The tests are the bulk of the grade though. Some of the questions and their explanations don't make any sense, but know the lecture material really well and you should do okay on tests. I had a lot of fun in this class, although the subject matter wasn't very memorable. Good professor.

She's a wonderful person and teaches exactly what is on the test. I did argue one of her questions, but she didn't relent. Does not give extra credit. Fair teacher, but as a person, she's awesome.
