Review from a student who took hdf 313
This guy is a nerd, but he gets the important info across. I found this class to be pretty easy and required little effort other than reading and coming to class. The lab coupled with this class is boring to go to and then you have to write papers about it. But don't get scared, it's really easy to get A's on the papers and he curves the papers so that ~85 and up is an A. In the papers all you have to do is make up what you think the kid may have been thinking about something that may or may not have been a big deal. He tell you exactly what he wants and even spends class time giving examples of how to interpret what you are looking at with the kids. This is really a good class and I highly recommend this professor.

This guy is a big dork. You would think that since he's a child development "expert" he would be easy to talk to, but he's quite the jerk when you talk to him one on one. This class gets pretty boring, as he constantly brings up his own daughter to use as examples of child development. We even watched a video of him perform experiments on her. Tests are pretty fair (there are 4 and a final and you get to drop the lowest grade), but don't expect him to give you any breaks. This class is coupled with HDF 113L, where you observe a class of little kids and analyze their behaviors.
