I really did not enjoy taking philosophy with Deigh. He paces a lot and is hard to pay attention to. I'm sure he's organized in his own manner but for me, his lectures did not seem to connect or even appear very on track. His examples are very odd as well. He allows for people to ask questions to a certain extent before he gets frustrated. I'm sorry to say that I do not recommend taking this class with him.

Review from a student who took PHL 318K
I took Intro to Political Philosophy with Dr. Deigh. He knows the material, and apparently is fairly prominent within the field. The course is interesting if you find the subject interesting, but only then. Otherwise, I'm sure it would bore the heck out of you. My main criticism of Dr. Deigh is that he paces far too much, which can be pretty unnerving. This should tell you two things: 1) Other than this, there's not much to criticize (nor to praise), and 2) The pacing is REALLY annoying. In sum, a decent course with a decent prof. I wouldn't recommend against it, but neither would I heartily endorse it.
