Review from a student who took ITL 312L
Capra is a good teacher, but he's a very very hard grader. He's very approachable and always willing to help. In class, when you mess up, he doesn't attack you and he's very patient. He keeps good track of attendence and participation and tries to be extremely objective in all of his grading. His class is jsut like all the other ITL 312L classes ... you have two tests and a final, each consisting of written and listening components. There are seven quizzes, two of which are dropped. You also have to write two italian compositions about 1-1/2 pages each ... you'll get to rewrite one for a higher grade, but you're stuck with your grade for the second one. He tries to teach mostly in italian, but he doesn't require all italian all the time. Wonderful teacher though!
