He has some interesting things to say in his lectures, although it can get repetetive and the topics seem really random. I had pretty good TA's to tell us what would be on the tests, which helped to know what to study. He gave us a little extra credit, and i think the grading wasn't that bad, so i think if you read everything and go to class you will be fine. i thought this was going to be my easy class but it was just about as much work as everything else. I'll probably get an A or a B, and i haven't missed a lecture so far (he takes attendence). It's not the worst class out there, and it's not the best. Take it if you like the subject matter, although it should be equally interesting to any major.

Neal is an interesting person with lots of funny stories. He shows lots of commercials and many print ads. Course seemed a little unorganized at times. Overall a personable teacher, lecture organization needs some work.

This class is an hour and a half of nothing but him trying to make his computer work, rambling on about personal asides, and generally just dicking around. It's absolutely terrible. I've been in this class for an entire semester now with pretty good attendance and I feel as if I'm walking away having learned absolutely nothing. It's an easy "A" though.
