Review from a student who took BIO 330
He was the worst professor I have ever had. there is no text book to refer to. You just have to depend on your notes, so go buy a recorder, it may help. He has no personality and reads from his notes that he could have possibly given you to make sure your notes are good. But he does seem to like what he is teaching but also seems nervous. Sit towards the front of the room if you want to hear him. Overall, do not take him.

ok this guy gets a fat ass ZERO as far as personality goes, but if youre used to not being a little baby and youre not the type to sit in the back and ask for the lecturer to speak up even when there are seats in the front, and if you actually have an interest in virology, take Bose(well, ive only taken him, and i was satisfied back in the fall of 2002). i will admit, he is outdated as far as what he emphasizes, but it is always good to have a background. it is a shame, however, that there arent any virology courses after his. i would recommend Tumor Biology with huibregste (himself quite lame, but he is very passionate about what he lectures over).

I cant believe how absolutely boring this class is. He doesnt help it any much either, because he reads directly off his own notes, rarly writes anything on the boards and his 3 tests, last one taken during finals, were only 10 questions each. Every question directly comes from his lecture and it is absolutely necessary to buy a recorder, because he speaks softly and refuses to use a mic. there is no textbook either since he prefers to use an early edition, and they are always checked out. FORGET this guy!!
