Nice professor but talks to you like you're five years old. Informative in his lectures, but mostly in the sense that he is incredibly repetitive. Never actually been to his office hours, but would imagine he would either be too busy to talk or very nice. Overall, an interesting class - do all that you should do - go to class and do the readings, and you should end up with an A/B. He does grade a little harder than expected on the papers - be extremely detailed (within 2 pages of course).

Dr. Bernstein is a great professor and enjoys his work and enjoys sharing his studies. It is a great class and I recommend it. If you have problems he openly makes you feel comfortable to go and talk to him about things you don't understand or if you need help.
