At the beginning of the year, I didn't really like Mr. Wolff... in fact, it wasn't until the last half that I started to like him. Overall his style of teaching is different. You don't get typical grades, rather you get a 5 by 5 grid, with a circle somewhere in it, top right being the best, based on effort, and quality... he doesn't really lecture, but his activities are well planned out, and I ended up learning more in this class than any of my others. His grading style is different... he allows everyone to grade themselves, and if they're able to defend why they think they should get an A, they get one... so most people do that... there is a lot of work assigned though... I personally didn't do it all, as it just seemed like too much... but I got an A anyway... overall, I'd recommend this class and teacher.

I thought Bill's class was great for learning the basics of argumentative writing. The grading process was different from any course I have ever taken though, since it used the learning record. I enjoyed the course and learning new writing techniques, but at times I felt the learning record was tedious and not the best method for grading. Overall, I think the course is helpful.

TLC 311 Intro to Web development taught by Professor Bill Wolff is a look at web design usability, HTML, CSS, and web accessibility. Bill used the Learning Record Online for grades. The system takes a little getting used to, but overall I think it is a very good assessment of your knowledge over the semester. The courseload was a little excessive at times, but I have no regrets about taking the course. If you are looking to develop a solid understanding of HTML and/or CSS look no further.
