Horrible. I took Holton in what I think was his first semester teaching. He was a grad student, and he had no idea how to teach. I remember one class where he spent the whole day on one problem, and then at the end of class he checked his notes and saw that he had come up with the wrong answer, so we wrote down a whole day's worth of notes for nothing. I'll admit that I didn't put as much effort into the class as I could have, but I think it says something about a professor when nearly 20% of his class fails, and the next highest professor has about 11% failing. I have never gotten below a B in my life before or after this class. I got a D in Holton's class. Worst class I ever took.
