Student reviews of Fernanda Bueno
Review from a student who took SPN 507
Avoid her if at all possible. I had to take her class because it was the only one left open that worked with my schedule. The class is often left looking at each other trying to make sense of what she just said. Typically she just asks everyone to "get together" and work on something vague and pointless. Calling her eccentric is putting it mildly. I didn't learn much from the actual class, and did most of my studying from just reading the book. She has received so many bad reviews, it's too bad UT doesn't pay closer attention to Pick-a-prof and similar websites like this one. Also, the coup de gr?ce to this madness was that I was less than 1% from getting an A and she would not give it to me. Other professors I've had would give the student the benefit of the doubt if they had been consistent throughout the semester. Sigh. Heed the words of these reviews!
